description 来源:Wilhelm Montelius (1852‑1918),后由家族继承

A Chinese blue and white Ming style ‘peony’ charger
The dish is finely painted in bright blue tones with peony blooms growing from a leafy branch, surrounded on the cavetto with spiral-work and a continuous scrolling tendrils and a meander pattern around the rim, the exterior similarly painted, the base is unglazed. Period: 18th century. Diameter: 34.5 cm.
This design is inspired by early 15th century examples from the Yongle period, however, the Yongle examples are more sparsely decorated than the 18th century examples. For examples of these early designs, see John A. Pope, Chinese porcelains from the Ardebil Shrine, Washington, DC, 1956, pl. 34, 29.98.
Wilhelm Montelius (1852‑1918), thence by descent.
