MING DYNASTY raised on three short feet surrounding a central protruding medallion providing additional support for the vessel, the exterior moulded with the ’Eight Trigrams’ between raised horizontal bands and incised floral motifs, applied overall with a celadon glaze save for the central section of the base revealing a buff-coloured stoneware 21.5cm diam Acquired from William Clayton Fine Chinese Jade, Porcelain and Oriental Works of Art, with original receipt dated 29th January 1972. |
