SADDLED HORSE. CERAMIC. China. Early Tang period. 8th century. Ceramic with painting over a white engobe. The neighing horse strongly modelled with raised head close to the neck. The mane hangs from its left side. The short tail is tight together in the centre with a ribbon. Removable curved saddle with cloth. Height 44.5cm， length 40cm. Condition A/B. Usual restorations. A thermoluniscence test from the Oxford laboratory with the no. C103n26 dated June 9， 2002 confirms the dating.
