This small decorative mountain imitates the random peaks, valleys, and colors of an actual mountain in an ingenious, like-life way. On the foot a regular script inscription says “Woji jushi amuses himself”. Woji jushi was the sobriquet of the well-known Jingdezhen imperial kiln supervisor Tang Ying, who served through the reigns of two emperors from 1728 to 1756. During his tenure, the kiln produced some of its most exquisite work. This small mountain was made personally by Tang Ying for use in a study. This work was donated by Mr. Zhang Zihou.
