The name “SHINUN NI UKANDE Ⅱ” refers to the phase from a poem of the Shinun ni Ukande by Kichizaemon XV. The piece is made by using a hard-forming technique and sculptural process of trimming, which is the traditional style of Raku ware. The body is unevenly glazed in an ash, a black glaze coated the part of notched lip, which looks like dark clouds are in a cloud sky. The flowing lines of a chromium, a copper glaze on the body create the multicoloured, impressive appearance.
