"In the XIV century and mainly throughout the XV century Paterna and Manises where two centres of crockery production, principally popular, characterised by a Mudejar appearance and decorated in blue on white enamel.

This bowl without handles decorated in blue with a schematic image of a young deer, surrounded by vegetables motifs and parallel lines combined with spirals, it’s an example of this type of pottery that joined Arabian and Christian motifs.

The blue decoration that arrived in Paterna through Malaga appeared in Eastern Arabian countries influenced by Chinese china that was carried through the silk routes."
