Ceramic figures of James Blomfield Rush, Norfolk murderer and Emily Sandford, girlfriend of James Blomfield Rush. The James Rush figurine is in a blue frock coat, green waistcoat, pink trousers with his left hand resting on the witness box and his right hand holding papers; the Emily Sandford figurine is in a a pink skirt with black sprigs, a blue bodice, and pale blue hood; she is holding a kerchief and paper in possibly in the witness box. On the base of the James Rush figurine an inscription reads,'James B. Rush'; part of a small collection relating to Stanfield Hall, Wymondham, Norfolk. In 1849 James Blomfield Rush was hanged for the murder of his employer Isaac Jermy and his son at Stanfield Hall near Wymondham. Rush had owed Jermy money and had shot him in an attempt to solve his financial problems. Rush was hanged in public at Norwich Castle and Staffordshire figures of the participants in the murder trial and the murder scene were sold as souvenirs.
