This is a set of dinnerware for banquet with Koransha’s brand mark and wisteria design. It was ordered along with the completion of the Western style-building at the Tachibana family's residence in 1910. There are 21 kinds of dinnerware summing up to 182 pieces in all. In addition, there is also another set of a source bowl with lid and a saucer with different wisteria designs. It is believed to be made as a sample for next order or for replacing defective products, because we couldn't find other pieces of this set with the same design. At a quick glance, the wisteria pattern of the sauce bowl and saucer set is identical to other 182 pieces. But the design of the leaves of this specific set was painted in monotonous lines and dark tone of sometsuke-dami (painting the area inside of the drawing-line) and shows the pattern clearer than the other pieces. With that, it is considered to have been made from the Taisho to the Showa period (after 1912).
