Punch'ong ware is a form of traditional Korean stoneware with inlaid patterns. It is called "Mishima" in Japan. This excellent ware has been handed down as a flower vase. It is applied with white slip over the gray paste and then coated with glaze all over the body, including the inside of the rectangular foot. It has white inlaid patterns of a peony on both sides of the body. The slight deformed shape and the generous peonies patterns represent the simple and refined beauty of the bowl, based on the typical free spirit rather than details in the Dynasty of Korea.
