Widely regarded as relics representing the late Tamna period, the Gonaeri Style Pottery is characterized by the shape of a reddish brown colored deep bowl with no decorative design. It features a short outflaring mouth and a flat bottom.The bottom is formed by linking a circular red clay board with the body that were separately made. The mouth and the neck are mended with water until smooth on the turntable of a potter's wheel. Types of the potteries are simple though various sizes. In terms of the working procedure and its form, it was made by a more advanced techniques compared with the vessels produced in the earlier period. They have been discovered in the whole prehistoric sites in Jeju.
