The work is trimmed the area from the mouth to the base with quick movement of a fine spatula. For instance, the central part of body is trimmed transversely in a comb-mesh shape and the part from the notched lip to the bottom is trimmed vertically at regular intervals, which, together with the matched lid (Tomo-buta), generate profound tasteful scenery of harmony. By increasing the temperature until it gets to 1,200 °C in the firing without an internal structure of a black Raku kiln, the piece effectively enhances a tense atmosphere.
