This is a sculptural ceramic bottle that depicts a libation scene. This is a Recuay style piece, which was produced by the peoples who inhabited the northern highlands of Peru, and is characterized by the use white clay or kaolin. Among the shapes that they created, the libation vessels known as pacchas stand out. These vessels have a wide spout by which the liquids can be poured inside, and have a smaller spout to pour out the liquids. This sculptural paccha portrays a building with four small towers with flat roofs. Sitting inside the building, two personages face each other. They both hold a vase in their hands, as if they were toasting with each other. The architectonic space has windows, some of which have a stepped shape. (UH)

Esta es una botella escultórica de cerámica que representa escena de libación. Esta pieza es de estilo Recuay, propio de los habitantes de las zonas altas del norte del Perú, y está caracterizado por el uso de la arcilla clara o blanca o caolín. Entre las formas que confeccionaron destacan las llamadas pacchas, que son vasijas escultóricas que tienen una apertura a manera de pico de jarra o cántaro, y una vertedera o pico, por el cual se puede escanciar lo que se vierte al interior. En esta paccha se puede ver una representación escenográfica arquitectónica, en la cual destacan cuatro peque?os torreones con techos planos. Entre las estructuras hay dos peque?os personajes, uno frente al otro. Cada uno sujeta un vaso y lo presenta, como brindando con el otro personaje. El espacio arquitectónico representado tiene ventanas y algunas de éstas tienen forma escalonada. (UH)
