Spindle spinning is a technique known since prehistory that allows to obtain threads from wool or plant fibers by twisting or stretching.
The spindle is a wooden rod on the end of which the spindle whorls are fitted, these are small circular pieces with a central hole that served as a counterweight, and granted the inertia that is necessary to create the yarn, when the spindle is rotated by hand.
These spindle whorls belong to the grave goods of an Iberian monumental tomb, this leads to think of a link of the person buried with the industry of looms in Castulo.
