The bulging bottom supports a long, cylindrical neck, softly twisted, enriched with wavy curves and dents. The pattern of the blue and white glaze is also marbled, wavy. The four poppy stems that spring from the foot are also twisted, creating a connected pattern of small golden-green mosaic-like squares. There were several “plated” decorations like the above at the end of the 5th and at the beginning of the 6th Décor book of the Zsolnay factory, without the identification of the designer. It is a significant fact however that Hans Christiansen created several patterns in similar style in 1901 and visited the Zsolnay factory at that time, signed som of his drawings in the Fa?on book. Tádé Sikorski must have created variants of Christiansen's ideas. The design of this vase originates from 1900, attributed to Tádé Sikorski, as written in Fa?on book 9, on the drawings Nos. 5993 – 6039, "Sikorski úr tervei" (Designs by Mr. Sikorski). The Décor number is 4335. At some of the drawings we find the signature of Géza Nikelszky (NG), but in the Fajon books usually the drawings were signed by the artist who put them in the book, instead of by the original designer.
