description Short neck, abdomen is chrysanthemum petals edge modelling, shallow ring foot. Connect body to blue drawing lines, solid carcass, glazed white and green. Four medallion, abdomen with censer book eucalyptus, the flowers, insects as the theme. Shoulder each lap tangle lotus flower pattern, mouth along the glazing.
the neck a tiny cracks. With wood and brass buckle ring.

MELON JAR WITH MEDALLIONS AND LOTUS SCROLLS.
China. Qing dynasty. Kangxi period. 17th/18th c.

Porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. The bulbous body with grooves in the style of a melon, except for the four medallions. Two medaillons painted with antiques and the others with blooming peonies and insects. The foot and the shoulder bordered with lotus tendrils on a blue background. The short neck unglazed. Height 20.5cm, Ø 19cm. Condition B. Tiny crack on the neck. Supplement: Matching wooden base and separate brass ring on the lip.
