We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both jars and covers:
– both landscape and figural panels are finely depicted in vivid wucai palette
– fritting and chips to edges and rims

Jars:
– both with chips to mouth rims
– both with expected surface scratches and abrasion consistent with age and use
– both with kiln grit adhesions to foot
– both with glaze gaps and firing cracks to base and interior
– one with a hairline crack extending from the mouth rim to the body

Covers:
– both with a few firing cracks, especially to the interior
– both with chips to inner collar
– one with restoration and overpainting to one side
