description | A LONGQUAN CELADON CENSER 15TH-16TH CENTURY The censer is of compressed form with a pair of lion mask handles, covered with a crackle-suffused glaze of translucent green color. 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) diam. 拍品备注 It is rare to find a Longquan celadon censer of this deep form, which is more often found in gilt bronzes or cloisonné enamels. The current censer is finely potted and covered with a beautiful and luscious celadon glaze. Compare the cloisonné enamel deep bowl of similar form, dated to Ming dynasty, 15th-16th century, sold at Christie’s New York, 18 September 2014, lot 606.
