This tea bowl of Kinkai type has a strong artificial impression created by adding distortion. The big crack which divides the bowl into two parts is jointed with gold lacquer. The whole body is covered with white glaze and the uneven coating makes a good appearance. It is shaved out deeply from the foot to the hip, expanded outward above the waist, curved slightly inward at the lip. The trace of hard press with roughly-woven cloth like linen can be recognized at a part under the rim of the bowl. The helmet-like shape can be seen inside the foot. Sand is left adhering to the bottom edge. The base material is white porcelain ware.
