This tea bowl of katate opens widely from the stable foot. It has five spur marks inside the surface of the bowl, fingermarks at the edge of the foot. The inside of the foot is protruding to create a tokin shape like a helmet. The body is covered with glaze, except for the bottom edge and the inside of the foot. Soft loquat color appears on the center of the inside surface and some places on the outside surface of the body. Two big cracks run from the lip to the foot.
